Description:
The Centre régional et Hôtellerie de Montréal of the Fondation québécoise du cancer provides low-cost accommodation to persons living with cancer undergoing treatment in Montréal. Accompanying persons may also be lodged according to room availability. Various support services are also offered to persons touched by cancer in the region.
Accommodation: Lodge located opposite Notre-Dame hospital of the CHUM (Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal). Double occupancy rooms with fully equiped bathroom and air conditioning, communal halls, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor landscaped areas, computers and Internet access, meals included (at the hospital's cafeteria), personalized services and adapted activities.
Complementary therapy, Rehabilitation and exercise, Pain and symptom management: Kinesiology, massage therapy and expressive art workshops offered to persons receiving cancer treatments.
Emotional support: Peer matching telephone program.
Transportation: Free transportation for persons lodging at the Hôtellerie to the following hospitals: CHUM, Glen site of MUHC, Jewish General, Montreal General, Charles-Lemoyne, CISSS of Laval and Cité de la Santé de Laval.
