Eligibility

Persons in the terminal phase of life who reside or have a close family member residing in the West Island area. Moreover, they must be referred by a hospital, CLSC, or a doctor.

Description:

This palliative care residence provides various services to persons or those who have a close member of the family residing in the West Island area of Montreal.

Complementary therapy: Art therapy and zootherapy.

Grief support: Monthly support groups, individual meetings and telephone follow-up offering support,  and referral to appropriate resources in the community. Specific groups for adults, teenagers and children are also available as well as a discussion forum for young people who wish to share their experience.

Palliative care: Hospice for persons in the terminal phase of life. The services available include a 24 hour nursing staff, a doctor, two social workers, many volunteers as well as clergy service. Cots may be added so that family members or loved ones can sleep on the premises.
