Wheels of Hope Volunteer Driving Program – British Columbia
Eligibility
To be eligible you must have a cancer diagnosis and be undergoing cancer treatment at a hospital or cancer centre. Patients must also be able to get in and out of the vehicle independently, or with the assistance of a Mandatory escort/caregiver. Patients under the age of 18 must travel with a guardian/escort. A minimum of two (2) business days notice is required when requesting rides. Cancer patients that had treatment within the last 12 months from the time of registration are eligible to register. This includes patients who are in active treatment and require follow-up.
Description:
Our driving program connects people who need transportation to cancer treatments with volunteer drivers. Our drivers are trained to provide safe and reliable rides to approved cancer treatment facilities. In British Columbia, this program is available in the Interior, in Prince George and on Vancouver Island.
Funding from the Grand Lodge of British Columbia and Yukon supports the Wheels of Hope program.

Registration Eligibility
- Clients have received an active cancer diagnosis.
- Clients are receiving treatment for cancer.
- This is a free service.
- Clients will be able to request an appointment with 2 business days’ notice.
- Clients are asked to have a back-up plan.
- Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm.
- Service is not available on weekends or statutory holidays.
