Eligibility

Becoming Smoke Free (Quit Smoking Clinic): Client must call to book an appointment prior to attending. Client must be a resident of Hamilton. Client must be able to attend clinic on Mondays, every 1 to 4 weeks.

Description:

Client attends clinic every 1 to 4 weeks on Thursdays.

One-to-one counseling sessions available. Intensive behavioural counseling may include assessment, lifestyle change, withdrawal management and referral to other services.

Clients are eligible to receive up to 26 weeks of FREE Nicotine Replacement Therapy, including:

  • Patches
  • Gum
  • Lozenges
  • Inhalers

Clients may re-enroll after 1 year.

Incentive program available for women who are pregnant and/or breastfeeding. Clients receive grocery store gift cards and bus tickets.

This clinic is delivered by Public Health Nurses, and funded through the STOP Program by CAMH.
