CanDonate Hair Foundation, accessible via donespoircancer.ca, is a Quebec-based non-profit foundation dedicated to providing free wigs to children with cancer who have lost their hair due to treatment. Its mission is to:

• Collect hair donations to make natural hair prostheses.
• Restore confidence and dignity to children by providing them with quality wigs.
• Support families by reducing the costs associated with appearance during treatment.

Free wigs

• The wigs are made from natural hair donated by volunteers.
• Each wig can cost up to $1,200 to produce, but is offered free of charge to children in Quebec.

• Strict criteria for donations: hair must be clean, dry, tied, and at least 30 cm long.
• Naturally colored or chemically treated hair is accepted, except for “funky” colors (blue, pink, green, etc.).
