The Prostate Assessment Centre at the Pasqua Hospital launched in 2009 to serve patients being assessed for prostate cancer. Enhancements to the Centre now include a pathway by which men have the option to be monitored directly at the Centre in order to increase efficiencies regarding diagnosis and treatment.

A specially-trained Nurse Navigator provides education and support for men diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer. The Prostate Pathway promotes access to information and objective advice so men and their families can make informed treatment choices in keeping with their values and priorities. This pathway helps ensure men get timely and appropriate care for the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer.
