Tobacco Addiction Recovery Program (TARP)
Eligibility
**This program is anticipated to re-open in Fall 2022** For clients with a serious mental illness who are motivated to quit smoking. Self-referral or referral by a health care professional is required. participants do not have to be directly connected to St. Josephs to participate.
Description:
A program developed to support people to reduce or quit smoking. TARP includes modules on tobacco as an addiction, triggers, nicotine replacement therapy, mental health and tobacco cessation/reduction strategies. The program consists of thirteen weeks of group material (held once weekly) and then a further 13 weeks of individual support (held bi weekly). NRT is available for a total of 26 weeks. Intake appointment is required before individuals can join the group.
