Services people in the Halton Region including Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Acton, Georgetown.

Description:

Local health units support prevention programs and inform the public about healthy life-styles, the dangers of smoking, health education and selected screening services.

The Halton Health Unit provides/offers free one on on cessation counselling with support of free NRT if required (patch, gum, inhaler, lozenges) for Halton residents. Cessation programs may run at various locations and at different times. Please call for details.

Stop Smoking Clinic: The Halton Region Health Department runs a  Stop Smoking Clinic where a health professional will help you assess your lifestyle, understand why you smoke, set a quit date and choose a personalized method of quitting free of charge.

QuitCare: Hospital based group sessions (as needed).  Four to six week sessions.  Telephone counselling also available.
