Prostate Cancer Support in The Black Community
Eligibility
None
Description:
The Walnut Foundation provides support to Black men diagnosed and are being treated for prostate cancer. We do not provide medical advice, instead we use our experience as prostate cancer survivors to provide educational material and emotional support to help men through their journey. In addition, we provide overall health education in the form of monthly meetings, annual conferences and symposiums where we invite the best medical professionals to present.
If you are diagnosed with prostate cancer, we recommend that you attend a The Walnut Foundation support and information exchange meeting - a safe space for Black men. Usually a 7 pm Zoom meeting on the last Thursday of the month, check out our website www.thewalnutfoundation.com or phone 905-799-2759 for details on the next meeting.
