Eligibility
Clients must have a diagnosis of cancer Clients must live in Labrador Appointments much be covered by Newfoundland & Labrador Medical Care Plan (MCP) They must NOT have private insurance that will reimburse travel costs or have exhausted their coverage Clients must provide a copy of their Appointment Confirmation Letter ahead of flight bookings. If applicable, clients who require an escort must provide an Escort Letter. PLEASE NOTE: Email is not a secure means of communication. If you are not comfortable with email, all communication will occur by phone and fax instead.
Description:
The Air Daffodil Program is
provided by generous donors for people in Labrador, living with cancer, who need
to travel for a cancer related appointments.
We provide three return flights, per client, per fiscal year that may be split between the client and an escort if required. For Example: Three (3) return flights per client, (1.5) flights for the client and (1.5) flights for the escort or two (2) flights for the client and one (1) flight for the escort.
Note: Escorts MUST be booked by Air Daffodil staff and travelling with the client. The escort is not eligible to receive more flights than the client.
